tip tuesday: wrinkles & good smells

So, at the suggestion of my friend Sara (Pigg) Walker, I'm writing a "Tip Tuesday" post. I can't promise that I will remember to do one every Tuesday, but who knows.

Ok, so this is how Baron & I do laundry: wash clothes, dry clothes, leave clothes in dryer too long & they get wrinkled, fluff clothes at least a day later to get wrinkles out, leave clothes in dryer again so that said fluffing becomes obsolete, pull items of clothing out of the dryer as needed to wear. This eliminates having to fold clothes & put them away because you just get each item out of the dryer as you need it. The down side is that the clothes are very wrinkled. Enter Downy Wrinkle Releaser. I don't plan my outfits the day before, and I rarely have time to iron in the mornings, so Downy Wrinkle Releaser saves me from my wrinkles. You just spray, tug, let dry, and wear! It's great. Of course, it doesn't work on heavy fabrics like khakis or whatever, and it doesn't give you that crisp look you want for your dress shirts, but for everyday shirts, it's great!

I love clean smells. My favorite smell is clean laundry. Which is funny since I hate to do it. Anyway, Glade has a great scent in most of their products - Clean Linen. I use several products in this scent, but what I want to talk about today is the carpet deodorizer. Whenever I use the Clean Linen carpet deodorizer before I vacuum, the scent lasts for a couple of days. It's like heaven in my carpet. Of course, I have the matching scent for my Glade plug-ins, so the scent then lingers even longer. :-)

I hope you enjoyed my first installment of Tip Tuesday! Feel free to post some tips of your own!

  1. Spraying Downy Wrinkle Releaser on your face does not work! Do not fall for this. I wish I had known this LAST Tuesday.

  3. Laura - I think your new dog is adorable! You know, I am working at Blue Ridge Animal Clinic in Wetumpka (by the old Ox Yoke restaurant) on Thursdays and Fridays (although it may change to Mondays/Thursdays). I would love to see him.
BTW - all my animals have people names, every one of them! I love Danny and Toby...

  5. Yay Laura - I look forward to reading more tips. I just bought a Tide-to-go pen (I think you were the one who mentioned it to me) and will put Downy Wrinkle Releaser on my current shopping list. :) Your dog is very cute, by the way.
